But what the hell was she singing about?

In 1954 NASA embarked on the Mercury Mission. Their goal was to send men out into space to orbit the earth.They began the experiment by sending monkeys into space. I believe that these little bi-peds plus a few drugs affected young Patti and inspired one of her most brilliant songs.
